About the course 

Over the course of the weekend, you will learn the basic skills involved in silversmithing, including soldering, hammering and sawing. By the end of the course, you'll have crafted a beautiful and unique ring of your own design. 

Our course is held in collaboration with Blivande, a vibrant and inspiring creative space in Frihamnen. You'll be surrounded by like-minded individuals who share your passion for creativity and self-expression. 

A basic knowledge of English is required as the course will be held in English.

About the teacher

The course is held by the amazing Lauren Glen!

"I am a self-taught silversmith with a background in fashion design. With an education from Manchester School of Art, I have worked in the fashion industy for several years and eventually decided to explore the processes of silversmithing and jewellery. I focus mainly on one of a kind pieces, creating chunky, built up jewellery with a rough, heavy feel."

Materials and tools 

All tools needed are included.

Silver is not included in the course fee but will be available to purchase for your design in a variety of dimensions. The amount you spend on silver will depend on your design. 

About Blivande

Blivande is a participatory community for art, culture and experimentation. They have studios as well as workspaces and members of all kinds of creative fields. The course will be held in one of their self-governed atelier & makerspace.
